Origins & Early Life
Sanford Koufax (; né Braun; born December 30, 1935), nicknamed "the Left Arm of God", is an American former professional baseball player. Retiring at age 30 due to chronic pain in his pitching elbow, Koufax was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972 at age 36, the youngest player ever elected.
