Chronology: 1869-03-14 – 1918-05-30

Bavarian Origins and Early American Ventures

Born in Kallstadt, in the Kingdom of Bavaria, Frederick Trump began his career path that would lead him across the Atlantic. After immigrating to the United States in 1885, he soon established himself in real estate speculation, beginning his ventures in Seattle by 1891. His early life was marked by significant geographical movements as he sought fortune in various American and Canadian locales.

The Golden Age of the Yukon and Family Foundation

A pivotal period in his life was the Klondike Gold Rush, where he relocated to Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. There, he amassed considerable wealth by managing both restaurants and brothels catering to the mining population. Upon returning to Kallstadt, he married Elisabeth Christ in 1901, solidifying the family unit while simultaneously facing legal challenges from the Bavarian government.

Establishing a Legacy in American Real Estate

Following his forced departure from Bavaria in 1905, Trump settled back in the United States. He diversified his work, managing a restaurant-hotel and practicing as a barber, while concurrently building his real estate portfolio in Queens. His life concluded during the devastating 1918 flu pandemic, leaving behind a substantial legacy for the Trump family.
